CTS are very pleased to share the news that Apleona UK has acquired a majority share in Combined Technical Solutions. CTS Management retain a significant shareholding and are looking forward to bringing our technical expertise under the Apleona UK Banner.
Apleona, a European market leader in integrated facility management headquartered in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt am Main, acquired Combined Technical Solutions Limited (CTS) in September. The closing date was September 30, 2022.
CTS was established in 1999 and has over 180 employees. The company provides a complete range of M&E services to a series of flagship and Tier 1 corporate buildings in London and Manchester. Its client portfolio includes blue-chip financial and legal services firms, as well as iconic London buildings.
Apleona UK, which employs over 1,060 staff, is an established IFM service provider, with clients in both public and private sector organisations including Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Insurance and Finance, Commercial offices, Professional Services and Educational Institutions. The acquisition of CTS will further enhance the company’s technical self-delivery capability and strengthen their footprint in the UK FM Marketplace.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details.

Freshfields will be occupying 13 floors of the 36-storey office development in the heart of the City of London.

CTS extends CSR programme with sponsorship of Addington Judo Club
CTS has chosen to focus its CSR efforts on sponsoring causes close to the hearts of customers and staff in 2019. It is proud to start the year announcing its support of Addington Judo Club. The club has been run by CTS Engineer, Gareth Merredew and his father for more than 20 years and has recently struggled for funding. In order to stay open, the club was in desperate need of new judo mats so Gareth approached CTS to see if the business could help.
CTS completed the purchase of the judo mats to ensure that the club could continue to operate and stay open for the children who use the facility.
Gareth Merredew comments, “Addington Judo Club would like to thank CTS for their generous donation toward our mat fund, with this we will be able to continue the clubs good work that has been at the heart of a tough and economically challenged community since 1954.”

CTS is proud to sponsor the Billericay Colts, under 7’s for the upcoming season
CTS manager, Nick Tedder, has recently undertaken his FA training badge and has set up a local under 7’s football team and CTS is proud to sponsoring the team for the upcoming season.
Formed this summer, the Billericay Colts has entered into the Echo Cedar Division. Consisting of seven players (six boys and one girl) aged between 6-7 years old, the team has a good mixture of footballing ability but more importantly the children share the same attitude towards football… they simply love playing it!
Nick comments: “It is my absolute pleasure coaching this team and I look forward to assisting in the development of these kids for the years to come. Given the attitude shown so far, I expect big things.
“It’s great to be able to kick off the season with a new kit and I’m extremely proud to have CTS’ support and that it is my employer that sponsoring the team.”
